So I have auto control HVAC. In manual mode, If you have the fan set to high when you turn the truck off it will be on high when you turn the truck back on. If you turn the truck off in Auto mode when you turn the truck back on the fan speed starts slow as if to sample temperature then adjust depending on what you have the temp set at. Higher fan speed for A/C if really hot out, fan speed will stay lower if it’s cooler temperatures out. Hope that’s the information your after.
I took delivery of my truck in late October 2015. My production date seems to be clear of the service advisory.

A back step for when I get older, Carhartt seatcovers, 4Runner wheels, Topper, and "tats all folks"! --for now!!
Interesting -- they (MO officials) make a big deal (as they should be thorough) about the "bus inspections" every year, but the regular car and truck inspections -- not such a big deal. They do check for working lights, horn, and tire tread depth, windshields and some suspension parts. But I don't believe they check defrosters. In some larger populated areas (St. Louis) they do a smog check, but not in the out-state places.

This is relevant to my interests. My AC just started acting weird yesterday. I’m pretty sure it’s the blower fan.

I was in for my 20k mile service yesterday and the stumble reflash TSB and my service advisor just asked me if they could replace mine. It was working fine, but I like proactive prevenative maintenance. They said Toyota has been sending out parts already. It just took them 30 minutes extra.

I took my truck into the dealership about 2 weeks ago because I was hearing noise coming from the glove box area that would get louder as I would crank up the fan. The found that the blower motor was seizing and replaced it in about 30 minutes.

What’s it doing? Apparently the issue is not the fan motor but the plastic squirrel cage blower attached to it - the plastic shaft sleeve is cracking and the blower doesnt spin so the air slows down comming out of the AC vents, no matter what setting you use.

Yup, that was the defect- squirrel cage shaft sleeve breaks on the motor shaft.

I didnt want to wait as we’re having 100+ degree days here and still going out on camping weekends. They should be getting enough in to do it when you are ready, but definitely do it before defroster and heater weather arrives!

On second thought, even if they have enough parts, their appointment calendar for blower replacements is going to be backed up when everyone gets that letter...

Why? It didn't get replaced with NOS part from the factory that has been sitting around since the dates listed on the campaign....

No it doesn't go from 0-100% at start up. Rolls up over about 3 seconds.

Unknown lift, maybe 2" I don't know how to ID it, and would rather set it back to stock.

Bought mine in February of 16, and mine shorted out as well as had the same crack in the middle like everyone else from fatigue. Just because your truck was produced prior to the dates in the TSB don't think you cant have this problem.

Yeah, just called em again today. I gotta bring the truck in this weekend before they will order parts and do anything. They want to inspect it first.

They’re pulling your leg (jingling your pocket), or they want to see if your AC is an auto climate one.

I'm waiting for Toyota to give me some fucking good service. I wish I treated this like my jeep and just redid everything myself.
