Turned the AC on today (2008 175K miles) heard a load screech from under the hood, AC light began to flicker on and off, turned it off and back on and same thing. Checked the Relay under the hood and it was fine, belt turns normal with AC on or off but I haven't tried to turn the compressor with the belt off yet. Pretty sure the compressor went bad. Autozone, Etc. Wants $400. Ebay, Rock Auto, etc. Has some for $200-$250, whats my best outlook on one. Go ahead and get new, refurbished? Best out look on one?
