My ac compressor locked up the other day. I’ve got a replacement coming, just wanted to find out the best way to swap it so as not to suffer needlessly. Any advice or knowledge is appreciated. Thanks

If it locked up internally it likely put metal debris through the entire A/C system and you are going to need more than just a compressor. Have you had a shop recover the refrigerant from the system?

I’m going to flush the system and hope for the best. I’m an hvac tech so I’ll recover it myself. Just looking for any mechanical insight
