Bought a new compressor remanufactured and I’m looking at all the other examples of these from denso and they all have a capped line on the bottom plate. Anyway mine doesn’t. Before I bleed my system and take this off and put the new one on, does anyone know if this is necessary or can be swapped from the crapped out compressor?

You’ll want to swap the plate from your old compressor to the new one. The new one should have come with instructions but a quick search on these forums will point you in the right direction. Just did mine and it wasn’t too bad

Someone can chime in and correct me but I believe that it’s just a block off from the factory to keep the compressor clean. There are a few different line configurations so using your own top plate is their way of keeping cost and different part numbers down

hope the unit you bought was a Denso if you went with "aftermarket". Most of the other ones don't have good track records
