Hey all, New here and trying to get some advice or answers about my AC compressor.
I’m replacing my original AC compressor. I purchased a four seasons 68677 from Rockauto that is for my truck (or so most places say it is).

    My problem is:
The original harness is different than the four seasons harness. Clutch has a power and ground, ok fine, but the speed sensor (or what I assume is the speed sensor) is a different set up. The four seasons is mounted on top and only has two wires, the original is mounted outside on the bottom and has three wires. Rockauto does say “requires original OE sensor”, but I don’t understand how you can even swap a sensor that has no place to insert or mount it. Can I just run this compressor as is? Anybody else run across this? Thanks.

    OP, welcome to TW!

The OEM compressor is Delphi or rebadged as Denso aftermarket, they are same thing.
Unless somone comes along here and has a specific answer to your question, if this were mine I would locate a Delphi or Denso aftermarket and send that one back. Rock Auto has had both in their catalog previously and is where I got my replacement.

Otherwise, you could wait til next week and call 4Seasons and see if they have someone in a technical capacity that can help.

Hopefully some others can chime in.

Thanks! For now, I just purchased the NISSENS/DELPHI unit that Rockauto had in stock. I already put oil in the compressor in question so I don’t think they will accept the return. I also bought it almost a year ago. Maybe I’ll sell it on Marketplace. I’d still love to know if it would have worked. Maybe that will help someone else.
