AC cycle on and off, 2003 3.4 pre runner

    2003 pre runner 3.4,, my ac will work great then will start to cycle on and off and here a clicking noise under the glove box , is it the thermistor in the evaporator box, ac is charged right, truck only has 50.000 miles, I do have the service manual,

    It's less Tacoma and more mod
    Completely normal, unless it is doing it really fast (in which case it may be low on freon (R134A))

    but the temp from the ac duct goes from 40 up to 80 when its 90 plus outside, never use to get that hot , ac is fully charged

    I used to have a 2004 3.4 Prerunner that had a very similar issue where the blend door under/behind the glove box would open and close several times in a row and it happened fairly often. If I turned the thermostat to hot for a second or two and then back to Cool, it would go away. I just dealt with it. Bad temp sensor is likely.

    thanks will see if that works, sure don't want to pull the evaporator box, after looking in service manual it may be the air inlet servomotor
