So for a while now, when running AC. a small ammount of very cold air seeps through my defrost vent, and causes fogging on my windshield.
    Any ideas?
    thanks

I'm not sure but, are you leaking a little antifreeze??? Or do you have water collecting in the air box. Make sure the drain is not partially plugged.

Is the fog inside or outside the window?

The water on windshield is from condensate on the outside of windshield due to window getting cold. you can feel a trickle of cold air constantly coming from the defrost vent. I had the interior fogging on a colorado a few years ago, and it was heater core leaking, so i know what you mean about checking antifreeze and pooling.

I'm wondering what the vent layout looks like under the dash, and if possibly i've got a bad actuator not sealing off the vent properly. i hate to tear into the dash, or take it to dealership for a nuisance thing like this.

^^ yep. I sometimes get this too. This doesn't fix the problem, but I often just turn the temp control down just a tad.

yes, the only way i can get it to stop is run defrost and turn up warmer, to flood cold trickle with warmer air. It sucks to do that when hot outside, so i end up running the windshield wipers on delay all the time.

I think it's a common issue, mine as well, I thought of just rolling up a black towel and tuck it as far forward as it will go. Also when the sun's angle is just right, I get a blinding glare off the curve portion of the hood right at the windshield. The towel would block that as well, or get some window tint down there.

Living in Florida, my windows get condensation on them all the time. Try switching over to recirc, not outside air on the ac , and crack a rear window slightly. Lowering the temp is the only real cure.

Same thing on mine. Collects on the outside when humid. My high tech fix is to use the windshield wiper.

I am wondering if Toyota did this by design or if this is just an inherent mechanical issue with a servo or flow flap or something to that effect.
