Why would you want to purge any AC auto system... If it leaks then fix it. If you're short on Freon - add. If you need need oil - add. Not following the logic.

You are missing his question. In 3rd gen this mod was for CONDENSATION that drips out on the frame. Mod consists of adding several feet of rubber tubing and routing it away from the frame.

It was never needed on 2nd gen or 3rd gen, as condensate water is clean and doesn't cause frame rust.

4th gen frame will probably rust faster due to three times as many welds on it. As you know, the welds rust first due to poor paint adhesion to the cladding.

Condensation? You're going to have that in every automobile...

Do it for peace of mind. Just like you've done on previous gens

Ignore the others who havent had other gens to even know the issues

Tacomas have a water drain hose for the A/C. Every vehicle drips water when the A/C runs.
The Tacoma hose routes onto the frame. Causing rust.
For a couple of bucks, people including myself fix this by putting a longer hose that drips it onto the ground like others do.

    OP is asking about this.

It isn’t needed on my OR. The tube runs below the frame.

There looks like an entire weld across the bottom of the frame rail the last time I was looking at a picture of the frame. This was the first thing that came to mind.

Yep, as Toyota has been doing on 4Runner frames for at least 21 years. Example of 4th gen 4Runner ready for the salvage yard, note holes near the rear axle lower link mount: https://www.4runners.com/threads/frame-rust-audit.42222/

^At least it's relatively dry there. Worse rust is seen near the Great Lakes and northeast, where the snow has high moisture content, and road salt is supplanted by more corrosive magnesium chloride "for environmental protection". In upstate NY, cars typically get junked after 10 years from rust because they can't pass inspection. Think 2015 Tacomas going to the crusher en masse.

Low-ion water such as the condensate from a refrigerated air system might, in theory, have marginally less ability to facilitate corrosion, but…

In practice constant exposure to any sort of water will accelerate rusting.

^The whole frame is exposed to water every time it rains. Basically you need road salt (or driving in seawater) to get frame rust. And if you are already spraying the frame with cosmoline, Fluid Film, Krown, etc., that A/C condensate won't do a thing.

Rain isn’t constant. AC condensate is.

Notice the people advocating for the A/C drain extension are in southern states with no idea what rust is?

There’s another smart post, answering the OP concern……..location and flow of AC drain (not condensation rates OR water tables in different parts of the country).

Notice the smarty pants, posting about nothing that has to do with original question, and believing the cars and trucks don’t travel across the country and are bought and sold……..
