Been hot here and running the ac 24/7. Still zero dripping and the ac is working well enough

Have you blown compressed air in the drip tube? You may have a restriction in the drip tube. I’ve seen everything from mold, dead bugs, mud, and a fire ants nest inside hvac housings blocking drip tubes.

    I have not. I don’t have a compressor.

I did remove the the drain tube and stuck an object nearly all the way into the tube. Also I can very easily blow into the drain tube. I also feel a cool breeze coming out of the drain.

Sticking things in the drain tube is not recommended. The evap core won’t sweat and drip if the humidity is low.

I didn’t stick it into the evaporator. I only stuck it into the drain tube. Just far enough to go to the sharp left hand turn into the housing. I will try compressed air in a can but I really do not think it’s clogged.

Humidity is 80-90% so it should be dripping

Is it just dripping slowly or not at all?

Is your AC blowing really cold air like it should? It might just need to have the system charged. You just can't swap out compressors without the vacuum equipment to suck it down and evacuate the system.

No it’s not that cold, but it’s not terrible either. I’ve swapped out compressors before and have used the manifold gauges and vacuum pumps. Luckily autozone rents them for free. Had to do it twice on my 1st gen.

There is an over the counter evaporator cleaner that might be worth a shot. Sounds like you're low on charge though.

Nope have not installed the new compressor lol.
I will likely do it this summer. Just don’t really have the time for it now. Maybe if I get a spare weekend when I’m up for it.

It was dripping pretty good, left a puddle under the truck.

If the compressor was toast you'd know it. I still think you're low on charge. I'm not sure about the quality of the the vacuum pumps that the shops loan out. I did a lot of work on aircraft pods and we would leave them on vacuum overnight before even thinking about charging the system.

The compressor works but it’s starting to make noise. Wanted to change it out before a catastrophic failure.
I too think it’s low on charge.
The vacuum worked pretty good. Got it to -30 mercury which is perfect and then had it run for a few hours.

Might just be the clutch going out. I had that happen on another truck (non-toyota). Just a thought.

I hoped that it was but unfortunately it’s not. The noise only occurrs when the clutch engages, but it is a rattling sound (video on page 1) I removed the belt and the pulley spins fine and free.

Well that certainly narrows it down. I would have thought the compressor would have lasted longer than that.
