Hello everyone, I have a question or need help. My 06 Tacoma dbl AC was not working. So I added DYI refrigerant that you could buy from any store. Added it to the system though it was fix. It got cold in my truck. And about a day later trying to cool the truck my fan while on high would slowed way down and the vents were not getting cool like before. So I switch one down from high on the fan and it stared to act normal but would not get very cold at all and I had to speed up the rpm to try to get to cool I think I messed it up. I was trying to save some money by DYI What are my options now.

    Thank for the help.

    None yet!
I don't think you messed anything that wasn't messed up before.
With AC you need to know the pressure difference between the high pressure and low pressure lines to properly find the issue.
My thoughts are bad expansion valve.
Take it into a shop and have them figure it out and evac the system. Then you could do the work needed and have them refill it to save some cash.

Op, now the problem is you do not know how much is in there. The Tacoma system requires a precise amount of refrigerant by weight to be added to an empty system and there is little acceptable variance. A bit too much and it won't cool and a bit too little and it also won't cool.
I don't know your skill level and do not wish to bash anyone on the perils of DIY A/C service but IMHO it is not the place to try to save money unless you know what you are doing. It is possible to create very expensive damage trying to save a few dollars.
