Hello! I'm new to the community and not much of a car guy by nature, but I do like to fix things. I have a maintenance question I was hoping someone could help with!

A few weeks ago, I got in my 2007 Tacoma and noticed the AC wasn't blowing. I wasn't sure what was going on so I just restarted the truck and it came on.

Yesterday, same thing happened. This morning again--only this time the fan never started.

    Here's the exact symptoms:
Cold air does come out of the vents (same flow all levels) but there's barely any force behind it. When the car isn't moving, there is no flow. When you hit the internal circulation button, what little flow existed will turn off. I did lift the hood when parked and touched what I think is the hvac and it didn't feel like it was vibrating and I heard no particular noises (not competent enough to know what it should feel/sound like).

To me, it feels like a fan of some sort. I've read about things like hvac and blower motor and I don't know really where to start--or if something else is more likely the culprit.

Again, drove to work today..car got cooled, just no pressure. It's like cold air is "leaking" out of the vents.

Any thoughts? I'll probably just take it to a mechanic tomorrow...but if there are simple checks, I'd rather not spend an arm and a leg :)

Hey thanks for the quick reply!

I walked over to my truck on my lunch break, located the blower and gave it a heft blow to the head. Sure enough, it kicked on! So it looks like the issue could be the blower or plug like you said.

I'll go by an autoparts store and likely still take it to the mechanic to actually do the repair. While it looks like an easy replace, I've never done it before and don't want something to over complicate!
