    Good people-

Own a 2016 Toyota Tacoma Access Cab. 70k miles and all was good and great until the AC stopped working. Heard a hissing sound and all the information pointed to a possible leak or needing to top off the refrigerant. For hoots and hollers I also ran a diagnostic on the ole truck and code U0155 popped up under the AC. Checked for leaks and that was negative. Then attempted to recharge and that didn't fix it either. A good chance that the latter I screwed up but at least I know that. The gauge indicated it was full.

Code U0155 is common according to what I found and it describes it as a "replace instrument panel cluster IPC control module.

What say you Taco nation? Time to take her to the garage or are there a few options still available?

cheers for any and all advice.

Check for power to the compressor clutch. It grounds through the compressor housing.

If you have an "auto" climate control system then you can check that specifically for codes by turning off the truck, hold the recirc and auto button down at the same time and while holding them both, switch the key on and keep holding until the HVAC panel starts flashing. Release at that point and wait a second. It will display a two digit code. 00 is no fault. Anything else is a problem

Also If you used "substitute" refrigerant(which i'm a huge fan of) know that you'll have to recover the system prior to going to a shop or they'll ding you for having a "contaminated" system
