I inherited a 2006 Tacoma 4x4 with the Off Road PKG on it, currently the truck has 150K on it. Been changing fluids, fixed a small coolant leak, drive shaft dampener & among other things.

Recently I started to notice that the AC would blow colder on the driver side vent and the air temp out of the vents would get warmer towards the passenger. Is this a common issue among older trucks? Could it be the blend doors? If anyone has any input or a fix on how to tackle this issue. Thanks in advance.

Have you check if the tube that connects to pass side is correctly connected ?
There is no setting for Pass side or Driver side. they are connected to the same system and air is pushed through them the same way.
What if you set for air to come out through bottom vents ? are they doing the same thing (driver side colder ?)TruckACSetup.jpg

Thanks for your reply - I turned the air towards the bottom. It is slightly colder on driver side.

How would I check the tube that connects to the passenger side , can I just crawl under the dash? Or would I have to remove the dash partially to have access to it ?

You should be able to check this after removing glove box.
Take a look at the picture I posted it shows you how that tube looks like.
