    Hi all,

I’m having issues with my 2013 Tacoma truck air conditioning system. My air conditioning will blink on and off and I always have to reset it. It’s driving me crazy anybody have any ideas? I’m thinking it’s the low pressure switch. I need to locate so I can jump it to see if that solves my problem. The thing is, I don’t know where it’s located. Does anyone have any ideas ?

Are you saying the A/C light starts blinking?

Most likely your magnetic clutch relay, if that doesn’t work then maybe the ac compressor pickup sensor too, do in that order (as relay is easiest/cheapest possible fix) Relay is located in the fuse box, easy peasy, pickup sensor is a bit more difficult but still an easy job.
Ask me how I know, AC went out with the blinking light thing 2 months after I bought my truck, used, middle of summer. This thread saved my a$$.

There is no low side pressure switch, there is a combination high/low pressure cutout switch on the high side but it will not cause a flashing light.

Does the compressor turn on for a few seconds and then turn off with a flashing A/C light?

The flashing A/C light is when the A/C amplifier does not detect a speed signal from the compressor lock sensor after commanding the MG CLT relay on.
    Possible causes are:
Open or shorted wire(s) in the lock sensor circuit
    Bad lock sensor
    Internal problem in the compressor
Open or shorted wire(s) to the MG CLT relay
Open in the wire from the MG CLT relay to the compressor
    Failed compressor clutch
    Belt slipping
    Failed A/C amplifier

You will need to check your wiring
The MG CLT relay should have power on pins 2 and 5 when the ignition switch is on, the A/C amplifier grounds pin 1 to turn it on.
You can momentarily jump pins 3 and 5 of the relay to see if the clutch engages.
Also check the wiring between the lock sensor and A/C amplifier.
The sensor signal itself can only be effectively checked with an oscilloscope.
