So I just started using my AC this summer about a few weeks ago( I live in Canada ) and noticed the air was g very cold . The vent on the far left is coldest, further right you go it gets warmer.
Took it in to the dealer and they said I have a leak in one of the lines. My truck is a 2017 Sport with only 31k KMS. My warranty ran out about 6-7 months ago and then want 800$ to repair it. Has anyone had luck contacting customer service and getting repairs covered outside of warranty? The AC going on a low km truck like mine is rediculous .

Why would they cover it outside of the warranty?

Because it has 31k KMS and is only 3.5 years old and the AC is going. That’s insane.

So? Warranty period is 3 years or xxx kms, which ever comes first. It is not 3 years plus an arbitrary amounts of months if mileage is low.

But to Tripod's point, you have no warranty that requires them to cover it. You can try, you can fight, but there's nothing binding for the dealer to give you goods and services for free here.

Did you inspect the lines? Look like an easy fix?

If the air is getting cold, there is probably no leak. Check the vents with a thermometer and see if they are getting cold enough. Anything under 50 should do it. For my home A/C I like to see 40 degrees. For a car I have never measured it.

My taco AC did leak after 110k miles. It was the condenser in front of the radiator that leaked. Air was not cold at all.

My truck gets around 34, but that's cruising on the freeway. At idle depending on ambient anywhere from 40-60

Your symptoms are a classic leak indicator, early stages. It won't be long till you have no AC.

What 'line'? Specifically the leak location. It matters on how complex (and expensive) the repair is.

Not gonna happen. Everything has a finish line, and you've crossed it. Not only will your dealer not care, Toyota will care even less. As would any manufacturer.

I'd take it to a quality independent shop that has all the right tools and reputation, and get it fixed there.

    Sorry for your bad luck.
