Good afternoon everyone, I've got a ac line that is leaking on my truck. It's a 2013Tacoma with the 4.0L V6 in it. I took it to a shop and they are wanting to charge me $1000 to change that line and recharge the ac with refrigerant. ($450 for the AC line and over $500 for the labor). To me that for the line is outrageous. Can anyone tell me what line this is so I can find it cheaper. It is on the left side of the engine, it has no ac service ports on it. Thank you guys for any help.

Here’s the name of that part. Now use your year and look up the part number.

Wow, that looks like one of those "we really don't want to work on it but if we have to it's gona cost you" quotes.

Looks like that would be the discharge hose/line, looks like about $100 from Toyota. Can't imagine it taking more than an hour to put in plus evac and recharge.

Part number looks to be 88703-04020

Yeah...that's why I came on here to find out...they won't be getting my business...other than the evac and recharge hopefully it's something I can do myself

I had that hose pipe replaced and it was only $500 with parts and labor at my local garage. One thing I wish I did was specify Id like a Denso part and not whatever random brand they have on hand locally. But its been 3 years and no issues.

Dm93 had sent me a message with the part number on it and he was spot on for the price $100 for it. A friend had referred me to that "shop" saying they were really good and cheap...yeah right about good a cheap...maybe good at ripping people off..Thank you for your help
