ac noise

    I've got the throttle-lift-grind that regular cab owner's have often discussed on this forum. I don't use the A/C often, but when I do, this grinding is 10X louder.

    Don't know what the correlation is. I've been under the impression that the grinding had to do with the slightly-off angle of the driveshaft. The A/C making the grinding louder implies clutch or transmission problems instead. Maybe it is the TOB . . .

    dry flow drop in filter
    i'm in the same boat. with the ac on it's such a strain on the 4cyl the throw out bearing rattles. press clutch in rattle goes away

    LEER Shell with dome lights operated with 3 way switches, aux backup lights with relay and 3 position switch, modified wiring to compass/temp display and clock to include switch that disables dimming function (poor man's DRL solution), Scan Gauge 2
    My 09 that I drive at work has been doing this for the last 20K that I have had it. It has 53K on it total. Probably been doing it since new. Don't know for sure, I "inherited" it at 35K.
