    Ac compressor not working.
I found a wire disconnected, but I don't know where it goes. Took 2 pics and wonder if some one can help me to saying where it goes. I think this is the obvious issue why compressor is not turning on.
First pic, where I think it goes.
Second pic, the wire in close up.

Thanks. This morning I took the cap and put the wire in and after some tries the clutch restarted to work.

I'm guessing here, but is that the low refrigerant cut out switch.?

If the A/C is low on refrigerant, the switch will think the pressure is low and not allow the pump to cycle.

Don't know myself but that's a solid guess. Wouldn't surprise me and makes sense with the symptoms he was having. I gotta remember that for future, I forgot all about the low pressure switch

Did you actually splice it back in? The wire is supposed to be crimped to a terminal inside the connector. (When built it's crimped onto terminal, then terminal is inserted into connector and hooks in.)

    Gonna be tough.

To replace the sensor, all refrigerant will be lost. Gonna need a pro to evacuate the system to do the repair properly.

It looks like the broken wire is at the connector to the magnetic clutch on the compressor, so no need to worry about the low pressure switch.

Are you still suffering from this problem? Well, I know how important AC is in every season as it circulates and filters the air in the interior environment. It consists of so many units like air filters, condenser, compressor, etc which need to be maintained in a proper condition in order to run the whole system smoothly. If you are still facing this issue, then you can contact the AC repair Santa Barbara team that troubleshoots all the problem related to your air conditioning system. I think everybody wants that their AC should run without any hitch in the summer season. If your AC gets clogged with dust and other debris then you will unable to get fresh air.
