Why is my AC blowing cold air on drivers side and warm air on passenger side?

Usually it's cold on the drivers side and not as cold/cool on the passenger side. Just how it is in these tacomas. Mines been that ways since I bought it new.

    OK 1 question and a suggestion ...

Why does someone from Canada want the AC April Fools Day?

OK I'll bite.... Check under the dash for cut/disconnected air channels and ensure the air doors are working properly/connections the the valves are on/working, etc.

    Howdy,
I have the same problem down here in Texas and April Fools day is 80 degrees. Been doing it since last summer. My cheap fix is to carry a towel and use it a lot. Have a goodun!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You don't have dual AC installed in your truck.

As mentioned above , sounds like you are low on 134a , Evac and recharge your system , it'll probably be fine

My 2011 did this when it had a leak and it lost refrigerant. I added some refrigerant my self and it blew cold air on both sides until it leaked out again. Had the system checked at the dealer (warranty), they found the leak, replaced the hose, evac & charge. Been cold ever since.

My dad had one of those kits from the Auto Parts store, it came with a gauge and a bottle of refrigerant. He said the kit was in the $20-30 range. It has a gauge that connects to the low pressure side (I think). The gauge didn't show actual pressure values, just a range of low/OK/high. I followed the instructions on the bottle of r134a.

You only see the pressure on one side of the system, but it can indicate whether you are low on charge or not. I have seen dyes that you can add and it glows under UV light so you can detect small leaks, but I knew I had a leak after the uneven cooling returned. I had it serviced by the dealer since it was still under warranty.
