DC trucks are ugly. if you run out of space in the AC use the bed of the truck. all the space you'll need for groceries. keep the cold frozen groceries in the AC part and put the rest in the bed.

Never. I sleep under my topper when I go camping. Plus the baby bed looks goofy.

Access cab for me. At times double cab would be more convenient. Wish side rear windows would open. If I need more room I will go with a tundra.

Got exactly what I wanted, an access cab. No need for 4 big doors & a small bed....

Dc for people with only one vehicle, friends and family's without cars + DC look stupid.

Completely happy with AC, side benefit is slightly stronger air conditioning. Did NOT even consider a DC.

I have an 06 single cab Taco, an 08 AC and a 14 DCSB 4x4 and I like them all for what they are but I find myself driving the AC the most.

DCSB looks like one of the Ford Explorer truck things. The bed is smaller then the cab, just looks weird. AC or full size truck for me.

4 door trucks used to be called crew cabs and they were huge and had a purpose to haul a crew. Little 4 door trucks to me is for some one that really need a 4 door car but didn't think they were cool enough.

I'm totally happy with my AC I don't like the 2nd gen DC I've always thought it looked goofy. I love the 1st gen DC I found it reminded me of the hilux. I just took my AC on a 6 day trip had room for all my gear and passengers gear. Even had enough room to clean up campsites that were left a mess. I've done the single cab thing always wished I had an AC. If I wanted more room I'd get a FJ or a Land Cruiser

Nope. If I needed a passenger vehicle I would have bought a car or SUV.

if you need a people hauler get a 4runner.

just need a v6 or straight 6 option for the reg cab and all would be perfect in the world. :D

Well as luck would have it, the decision doesn't have to be AC vs SUV. I can haul people in my DCSB... and I can take a load to the dump on the way. Why would I want a 4 runner???

My wife took over our Audi Q7 when I got the tacoma. I was in trouble more that a few times for loading it up with dirty trash bags or building supplies... so a truck it is.

I have two kids under 4 and these new carseats are ridiculously big... so DC truck it is.

I'm happy with my access cab, plenty of room for who is riding in it 99% of the time which is myself and my dog. I also have a crew cab ford that I don't plan on getting rid of anytime soon that I can haul 6 adults with if I needed too so I'm not worried about carrying the family or hunting or fishing buddies in the tacoma. I actually went to the dealership to order a DCLB trd off road 6 speed and left with an AC trd off road 6 speed cause my ideal tacoma doesn't exist but I'm 100% satisfied and I would do it again.
