Oh Oz, you slay me. This is the second time in recent memory that your need to spout a condescending, snarky quip has outpaced your reading comprehension.

Read my sentence again. I never said I parked in a spot that isn't 12" longer than my truck, though I've parked in several that were not much longer than 12" longer than my truck.

What I said is that I've parked in plenty of spots where I didn't have 12" to spare. Meaning there was no way a DCLB would fit in the spot because my DCSB BARELY fit in the spot.

If Toyota made a regular cab with V6, I would've probably gotten that instead.

That is exactly why I got the DC, that is what I wanted. Front big enough for 4 passengers plus some reasonable amount of truck bed attached.

I could have went with some sort of SUV but I have had several SUVs and several pickups before and the number of times the SUV came up a little lacking for my particular cargo needs pushed me more towards the truck option.

Now I emphasise that was based on my needs. Yours may be different.

    this and that...
standard bed. trd offroad trim that comes in standard. double cab does not offer these things together. its either one or the other. ac gets the best of both worlds.

    Why? Wouldn't a V6 powertrain swap into a 4-cyl regular cab 4x4 be easier? :p

    Pretty sure that's the Explorer Sport-Trac. It's a full frame, but I think it's a FWD... it's "not even" a Ranger.

I drive a 2010 sr5 access cab. It does it all. the only problem is transporting adults in the back. after 1/2 hour it gets cramped. but if I worried about that,I would be driving an suv and not a truck!
