When I turn on the AC in my 05 tacoma with 51000 miles it squeals awful. I'm assuming it is the clutch but could be wrong. Can I just replace the clutch while the AC unit is in the car (if it is that) or does the entire AC unit need to be replaced?
How much work is it to replace?
    Thanks for the replies.

I’d check your belt and pulley first. I had that same issue today and it just happened to be a worn belt & pulley.

    An '05 with 51000 miles? That’s impressive

Yea it doesn't get driven much, my last toyota pickup was bought in 84 and sold it in 2005 with 75000 miles on it. It looks to be the clutch, just like the other post that was attached from bluewater bill. I am going to jump in on the other thread, you nailed it. Thanks
