no brake stands for some of you it sounds like.

maybe its my abs killswitch, but I can sit there and turn my tires into gummy bears no problem. I have the stupid TSB reflash as it was rolled into my supercharger reflash. I opted out every other time the truck was seen by the dealer, but that reflash was combined for the blower.

Yes the dealer can tell you exactly what version you are running.

Ding, I'll bet that is what is happening to me! Thank you Jimmyh!

I think I bent the brake pedal when I was bracing myself when I was doing 360's down the muddy hill that caused this issue to surface.

Later that night I went to check the mail and saw my brake lights on. I yanked on the pedal and they stayed off but I knew I'd need to replace the pedal/sensor soon.

Never occurred to me it'd be related to the flat spot issue but that makes complete sense. When I am accelerating, I am conjecturing that the vibrations cause an intermittent brake sensor contact/pulse, which then in-turn tells the computer to kill the throttle until I take my foot off the gas and place it back on.

I could be wrong on the specifics but I am hot on the trail and know where to look now so I know I will find it eventually.

I also need to keep up with other stuff like my brakes and not just let it go because it isn't actively causing issues. That's kid stuff, feel like a bit of an idiot for not thinking about that or at least fixing it regardless of the throttle issue.

Thanks again!! This community is unbelievably helpful and beneficial to me. Not to mention pretty damn friendly too.

Update. I am a left foot braker. Leaving a stop I apply the accelerator same time as I release the brake much like using a clutch, rather than releasing the brake then moving my foot to the accelerator. So I figured there must be some confusion in the ECU as to the command to accelerate. Early 2019 I re-adjusted the brake light switch so it is less sensitive. Now the brake pedal needs to be depressed about 3/8 - 1/2" to active the brake light. (formerly was less then 1/8th inch). So far this seems to have corrected the problem. I have not experienced an acceleration "drop out" in 9 months. Formerly it occurred about every 3 months.
