Hey guys I'm at a loss here and I feel like I did something wrong at this point I changed the oil on my 2014 taco is the 4.0 v6 trd sport and after I changed the oil a few hours later I took my truck out I noticed that when at a stop or when trying to accelerate after being on the brake my truck will rev up like it wants to and all the sudden kick in and slightly spin my back tires it happens randomly it also seems sluggish and makes a slight whine that I haven't noticed before but it's not constant after a little while it will go back to normal the only mods I have done are a k&n intake

BUCKLE UP! It makes it harder for Aliens to pull you out of your Truck.
You’re sure you drained the engine oil and not the transmission oil?

Check transmission fluid STAT! This is exactly what happens when your level is low.

Did you add new oil in as well? It should go without saying but do not attempt to run or drive the truck. Get a tow back home if you’re out already.

You can fill it back up yourself. Don’t kick yourself too hard; we all make mistakes. If you’re worried, I would take it to a reliable shop to refill.

Well the transmission usually bolts right up to the rear of the engine, so it's hard to get the pan too far apart.

OMFG. Not again. My brain hurts.

The devil is always in the details. The transmission oil pan has always been right behind the engine oil pan. The same place it has been forever on a rear wheel drive vehicle.
