Access cab back seat change

Ok, so obviously the back bench in the pre-2009 access cabs are absolute crap. I know they aren't really intended for people sitting during long hauls but has anyone tried to put a 2009+ bench in the back? I know the leg portion is much bigger and was wondering if it would make any difference.
