we had three guys ranging from 5'9 ish to 6ft and one women that is 5'4'ish. she sat in the back the entire trip without a single complaint. we rotated the guys through the back. with extra pillows and stretching across to her side it wasn't the worst thing i have ever done. i only did one shift in the back. owners privilege and all. don't think i would do it again

I would not consider buying an access cab if you ever consider hauling backseat passengers. Think of it as a standard cab with a little more storage space.

I had an extended cab Dakota 4x4 and when Dodge came out with the quad cab in 2000, I traded it in for a 4x4 quad. I was nice to haul around the kids and we'd take it on our out of town trips. When it came time to start looking for a newer truck I had to ask myself what were my needs at the time. Did I still really need a 4x4 or just want a 4x4? Now that the kids are grown and gone did I need a real back seat? Well, the answers were no. So my youngest son got the Dakota and I bought an access cab Prerunner.

Do I regret my decision, no. With an access cab I don't have to drive if we go somewhere with friends or family -- sorry no room. Now we take my wife's SUV (she drives) while I chill out. I also like the fact that my access cab cools quicker in the summer/heat faster in the winter and the stereo sounds great.

Couldn't put the kiddie seat on the jump seat... But ya, it might have made it to her list. Heaven forbid mother who gave her the car, a Chevy Corsica, drove that thing like Mario Andretti.

On ramp to left lane, WOT, 50 feet, and a horn later we are there... The brakes.....Ooooooohmfg. did all 4 corners before I let her drive it.

I love my AC. No kids, dogs, etc. Removed back seats and put molle panel for extra easy storage. I have to have a long bed, and if I wanted a double cab long bed, I'd just get a full size instead. For me it's a no brainer

Bought my 08 ac in 2011.
I looked at the reggie cabs but just not enough room.
My Ac is a great truck for 2 people.
I wouldn’t want to spend much time back there. I’ve been looking at crew cabs but the box size and looks just don’t fit in a short bed.
The double cab long bed look better but don’t fit the garage.
I’m keeping my ac we just use the wife’s car for the dog or granddaughter.

My reasons for getting an AC are:

    1. 6 foot bed. I know DCLB exists but I dont like the aesthetic, looks too long from the side and not available in TRD off-road

    2. I dont really have the need for passenger transport, im not married and dont have kids

    3. I personally feel like AC is the best looking truck overall, more substantial cab room than a standard cab but not an SUV with a bed

I bought a 06 access cab bone stock with 32k miles ~3 years ago. It has transformed since then. I also traded my built lx450 for a 4door Trd Taco and had 2 at the same time. Both were low miles. I went ahead and sold the 4door bc I liked the looks of the access cab better. As far as room in the back for groceries, a dog, luggage there is plenty of room in the access cab. I ended up buying a 2018 4runner 4wd if I need to haul Around passengers on a Night on on the town. I use the runner a little bit but I still daily my taco bc I like it so much, plus it is on 35s:D

I bought my access cab when my son just turned 5. He’s 9 now and starting to feel cramped back there.

I’ve had my AC since 08. I like how they look. Got it as a daily driver, but planned for it to become my toy in future. It’s no longer my daily and I’m happy with it but if you plan to put more than another passenger, go DC.
