I know all about this damn VENT below rear window,I"ve searched far and wide.I just picked up a mint 2007 TRD SPORT Access cab 40,000 mi.I know why the vents there. You guys with access cabs cant be putting up with this, can you?I"ve sealed the vent,ya it fog up.I"ve taped the vent, didnt gain alot.Tonight I tape ever hole in the brace steel, because it seemed like the air was flying threw it and acting like a tunnel wind noise. As you know you cant see much of the little flap that keeps water out.I looks ok but Im wondering if this might be the problem.anybody out there that knows a good fixs for this VENT?I"ve never been in a truck, that makes this wind noise.Oh I know all about the soundproofing BS too.A guy should"nt have to do all this for the money they want for these trucks.Anybody go a answer, this service manager dont know a duck from a truck!

I have a access and don't have any noise. There was a TSB for wind noise issues around the windshield area. Not sure if that's your problem.

theres a rear vent on every truck, to help with the air flow or when you close your doors its not impossible to shutand OP If everything is sealed off I dont see your ac or heater working to well. I had an access cab once and the majoroty of the noise was coming from the rear doors. If you look outside your cab in the rear when the doors are closed youll see a big gap fromm the rear door to the cab all thats there seperating everything is a rubber strip, I put a big rubber flap there and it help somewhat.

I have an 07 access. I put bubble wrap to plug up the vent. Works well but if you want maximum air from the blower, you must crack a window.

I think im onto something now,The weatherstrip on the access doors are not 100% sealed, they have the little plugs and not tight on the truck door. This weekend im going to 3m them so there sealed tight on the door. The vent might not be the problem.Let you know how I make out.For the guy thats want to see the vent, pull your back cover off in rear, its 8 inches below your rear window.
