my choice came down to the bed size, i need to haul big pieces on some occasions so it was a lb. I ended up with an access because the available parking space in the garage did not allow for a dclb to fit......i do wish i had extra room for passengers but access is a compromise.

i suddenly have the urge to look for these trail limos in the overland thread. Gonna be interesting when it's all together! I made a cross country trip with two of my friends in my access cab a few years back... You'll be happy with the double cab

im thinking about later getting rid of my access cab and getting a DC SB just because I know I would use the interior space more often than the bed. but I would have to get a bed extender for sure, as Im a carpenter and haul lumber every now and then.

    Yup I resurrected it!

I know for me it comes down to what I can afford,
As much as I want a DC b/s it's pre-wired for fogs, probably cruise, and has the nuts in the roof for a rack. Base model has power mirrors on top of power windows and locks. Drivers seat has lumbar also.
Just doesn't have key-less entry unless you purchase Conv Package which I don't want.

I can secure an AC 5spd 4cyl for over 4K less. Which in the long run will do what I need it to do. However the base seats in the DC have lumbar and I don't want an SR5 package added to the AC.

Hmm. If I can afford it I'll probably go the DC route, which happens to be how I voted.

Just gonna shed some light on the "midget" bed here. The DCSB looks really small for someone who's never owned one but i've had mine for almost a year now and there hasn't been a single occasion where I felt an extra foot of space would have been highly beneficial. I've been camping with 3 buddies and all our gear fit fine. With the tailgate down the total length is about 6'8" so I can sleep in the back with a bed tent comfortably as well.

Funny you bring up the lumbar adjust. I bought an SR with convenience package and as I was leaving the lot discovered this isn't included in my package. You have to get an SR5.

    Whoops. lol

Yup, it's a detail I have noticed in the base model DCSB you get a lot that you can't get in an AC unless you get an SR5 package.

And when it comes to children and such, If you have a younger child in the pass rear of an AC they can't get out unless they crawl over and open the front door.

I am trying to convince myself the DCSB is what I need but I like the much lower payment of the AC with 4cyl and 5-spd.

    Really,
This makes me think b/c the price difference is 500 bucks from the SB to the LB...
