    Can anyone help with rear seat delete design ideas for the access cab? I already removed the jump seats/rear panels but am unsure if I should go with plywood or marine grade plastic material where the rear panels used to be. The road noise is much more noticeable with the panels removed.

    @ABQ16TACO Went with plywood, when fitting was done, I covered it with spray on bed liner. Took 2 tall cans. Also covered everything behind the panels and inside the cubby with Dynamat sound deadener. Used the old seat belt holes with longer bolts to hold everything in place. Works well. Cut some "lids" into the panels so I have access to the cubbies underneath.

    thanks, that’s helpful- what thickness/type of plywood do you recommend? I have some plastidip, is that comparable to what you used?

    You could also buy the factory plastic for the non seat package, it has some sound insulation in it

    Good idea: I actually asked my local Toyota dealership if they could order me those parts & the parts guy thought not but maybe I should try again!

    I ordered mine from BAM Wholesale. Part number 64270-04140-C0
    If I remember, the picture online won’t look right, but that’s the part. It’s around $500.

    @ABQ16TACO
    I'm not the one you asked but my materials were a 5' x 5' 12mm thick cabinetry plywood. I had never used this type of plywood, so it was an experiment on my part. The width I needed was just over 4' and I didn't think I'd have any need for more so I went with the 5' x 5' size. Try getting that into a Tacoma with a top on!

    The thickness of any plywood should be based upon what you are going to do with the area, as thick as you need and no more due to weight. I used the spray on Plastic Dip and it does not wear well, looks terrible after a short time of loading and unloading stuff, but it is a truck. It does keep things from sliding around, but I will need a more secure way to hold things as I progress into 4-wheeling.

    My installation supports a refrigerator which takes up the whole area behind the drivers seat.

    I used 1/2" plywood. Wanted something that would take some abuse. You could probably get away with 3/8". But no particle or chip board. They will just expand the first time they get wet.

    And plastic dip will not last either. I used the Raptor tall can spray on bed liner. This is a more durable finish, and water proof. Have had my two shepherds on it, and they could mess it up or remove the finish.

    Here is the link for that

    Did you spray the raptor straight on the plywood or did you sand and primer it first?

    Light sand and primer. Sticks well. Still have the templates.
