So we all know that the access cab rear seat isn't really meant for people unless you have no other choice. I'm curious to hear what some of y'all have done to make it into a storage space, a place for speakers, etc... and how you did it, whether there were kits that are made or if it was all diy. I'm trying to get ideas for my truck, right now I am thinking of removing it down to the metal and trying to create a small storage space that can hold some subs.

Goose Gear makes a kit, quality but pricey.

I built this out of leftover like shelf wood material lol kind of rushed it but it was just going to be a mock up to get measurements and stuff but I ended up just keeping it in there. I really like the Goose Gear storage but couldn’t justify the price. Anyways, I dedicated to behind my seat as storage and left the passenger side open in case I had to put someone back there.

After removing seats and center console I built a platform out of 3/4 plywood. The center leg was not painted because the seats are always all the way back. Made a door to access the under seat storage. It was always the plan to make a place for the subwoofer box. The wiring was done so the box could be easily removed if needed. Added a hinge to the trapdoor so I could get to the jack and tools.

Not a acc cab but same principle. I used 5/8 plywood and raptor lined it.
