Hi, I'm fairly new to the forum and I've been contemplating a roof top tent for a while now and one of the things I like to do in my research is look how other tent set-ups look on different tacos so I can get an idea of how they would look on my truck.

Unfortunately, 90+% of what I'm finding online is double cabs with the short bed.
I'd like to ask you guys out there who specifically own access cabs to post your camping set-ups, rooftop tents, etc.
If you've got a 2nd gen, that would be even more helpful. Thanks.

    Here's my 2014 Taco...

Both AC in this shot, different tents on them. Mine is the Napier with full inside. His is a different brand and does not have an inner liner.

Just a wooden platform with a tent on top. Worked great for our weekend trip:

It depends on your desired level of comfort. This is what I used to do when I was by myself. I have a camper shell now, but with the dogs and special lady, we set up a tent.

I think I'd personally opt for a wedge style over a roof top tent based on what my buddies have told me about their RTT setups and my own personal preferences.

A rooftop tent is a waste of money in a humid environment. The reason so many are out west is that the arid environment doesn’t lend itself to mold/mildew. Save $1500-5k

Used it on almost every camping trip I’ve taken since purchase, absolutely loved it as a broke college student and still do.
