You can get a DCSB in Canada just not in auto

Right. Forgot about the one very specific model the DCSB is now available in. When will I be able to buy a DCSB OR AT in Canada? Think we'll ever get it?

You've always been able to get a manual DCSB in Canada

Not sure why they've never offered the DC Offroad

I actually have yet to see a DCSB in the Greater Toronto Area, and that includes at my local dealer. Their stock includes base AccessCabs, TRD Sport DCLB, and that's it. I actually saw a Quicksand TRD Off-road AccessCab westbound on the 401 on the way home last week and it was a real beauty. That is certainly how I want to order mine.

Also I'm married, just no kids yet. I'm sure my wife will be thrilled about the AccessCab.... All the more reason to get it.

Ohhh, forgot to add why I wanted a longer bed. Motorcycles. I was frequently borrowing trucks to move bikes around. More bed length is not a bad thing.

Interesting the different configs available in Canada. That kind of information can be difficult to tease out.

Course my motorcycle habit never really helped with my social life either... So motorcycle and ACLB FTL!

    ...

Glad to get my licks in on this particular dead horse. Anyone mind if I get the hide for boots? B-)

If you can't afford a DCLB, the AC is the next logical step for sure. What good is a short bed.

    Forrealzies.

I personally prefer the access cab. I usually dont have more than one passenger so the back seat is perfect fot storing tools until i get my tool box here in a few weeks. The extra bed space is also convenient. Double cabs are nice, but i dont need it, so AC is perfect for me

It's just a personal preference for me. I had an 07 AC Prerunner, then got an 11 DCSB, then traded that in for a 16 AC. I never needed and rarely used the rear seats in the double cab. The six foot bed is a must for camping when I get a topper. It looks so much better than my 11 DCSB!

I'm surprised only 1 other person had mentioned this.. AC win's for one simple reason. You never have to be the designated driver! "Yes I'll drive but I don't really think you all will fit back there". Works every damn time! Plus access cabs have more than enough rooms to fit girls back there for a day of offroading!

Get a DCSB and no-one will ask you to help them move furniture.

ACLB here, along with an enclosed cargo trailer, and few ask for help. You just need to be grumpier!

Heck, was at a 5 week thing for work, and most there didn't have cars, yet few people who knew how to drive stick took me up on the offer to lend it out.

Or "you people" just know a bunch of free loaders! ;)

The access cab costs less? Cool. Did not consider the DC so was not aware it was more $.

My 1986 Tacoma was a single cab. My 1999 Tacoma was a extra cab. My 2006 Tacoma was a double cab short bed.
My current 2012 Tacoma is a double cab long bed. The 1999 Extra Cab was great cause I was single and my Lab could
ride in the Extra Cab on long trips. When you have a kid or kids the double cab is the way too go. Now that I have the
long bed I will never go back to a short bed. No way Jose!!! I wish I would have gotten the long bed a long time ago.
