For sure, proof in your pictures. A man that knows how to load can carry pretty much what he wants, pop was a moving man and could get twice the load in his trucks as most could. I learned from that, have two sets of ratchet straps, tarps and a cargo net. Still I appreciate the extra foot when carrying a load of 8 ft lumber.

I would rather have more interior space in my tacoma than a slightly longer bed. Plus with a kid, its that much more necessary. When I need to haul a bunch of stuff, I use my 2500hd that has an 8 foot bed. Two trucks, best of both worlds.

I mean if i could have the DCLB with MT , i definetily would :) Too bad yota doesnt make them.

If i used my taco strictly for work, longer bed would have been a much better option of course. I do appreciate the shorter wheelbase when going offroad though. Im just happy i could still get a manual with 4 doors:D

Uh oh, the DCSB guys are showing up and scoring points lately. No AC challengers? Ok I’ll go

The short tail, who wore it best?

Dont see how the DC looks goofy. Looks pretty good imo.

I had a AC ranger before the taco, i loved it but did not really like the tiny cab. Wish i could have kept it though, would have made an awesome bush rig. Im so paranoid going into the bush with my taco haha.

DCSBs look fine, all in fun. Like you said it depends on what you need, that’s the truck you want.

I know its all in good fun:)

Just so many guys on TW say that it looks goofy, i dont really see it. They both look great. I really needed that extra space in the back so my decision was easy.;)

Love the wheels on the double cab in this pic. You wouldn’t remember what they were?

If I didn't know any better, I'd guess the person who loaded and "secured" that stuff was a loadmaster in the Airforce!

When the DC's first came out years ago, I first thought they looked a bit funny, because it was different than the norm. Everyone in America either had RCLB or AC trucks. The DC's grew on me though, and apparently many other people too considering their popularity. You essentially get a passenger car with 4 wheel drive and a bed. What's not to like? I prefer the DCSB, but the DCLB is the best of both worlds, in my humble opinion.

    Check build thread!
I can't fit my full size motocross bike in the back of a 5ft bed with the tailgate up, which is a huge deal breaker for me. I need to tow my camper with the bike in there.

Right, did not think about that one. I remeber transporting a racing bike in my ranger (6ft box) and it just fit in the box.
