I really like my topper, but I wish i could modify the front window to give access to my dog when they are in the back.

I see that soft topper makes a kit that allows you to create a waterproof pass-through. Any idea if I could use that kit to create the same pass through? I can’t seem to find much info or any install videos that would give me a clue.

(Finally registered and this is my first ever post on here, though been lurking for quite a while!)

Doubtful. The front panel of the softopper is fastened by Velcro. The dog kit works by cutting a hole in that panel, and then a larger flap of plastic goes over it. It is sandwiched in the Velcro strip between the front panel and the roof panel.

I'm fairly sure that the bestop does not use Velcro in that location. So it will need a lot of modification to work. It's not impossible, you just have to be confident in your sewing skills to make it work.

I have the dog kit. It's great for rolling up both front and rear and letting air run through. It is not as waterproof as advertised. It keeps moderate rains out. It does not keep the car wash out.

You could bring the truck and topper to a custom shop that make boat tops. They would be able to modify the bestop to do what you want.

Sorry about that one. I am constantly just lumping these two as the same company for some reason.I agree with the post above, a custom upholstery shop should be able to do what your looking for.
