Newb here on the forum, i searched and could not find an answer. So i hope someone here does. I am currently trading in my access cab for a double cab because i oftenly have more than 2 people in the truck. With the seats back all the way the access and double cab apear to have the same legroom? Anybody have rear seat measurements with front seats all the way back? Is it that much of a difference. Hope someone can answer. Oh and trading in a 2014 trd or aclb trail teams edition barc red for 16 trd sport dclb bbp

It's defs better than the AC but it sure ain't no f150 crew cab! You're tall enough to need the front seat ALL the way back?

I don't know about what the actual measurements are, but I've ridden in the back seat of both the AC and DC and I won't ride in the AC cab again. That shit sucks.

I've had 4 in mine no issues. 2 of us 6'3", one 5'10" and one 5'8". No issues.

Yes, with the front seats moved as far back as possible, theres little room in the back seat. But if you move the front seat all the way back that front person would have TONS of room to spare. Tell your passengers not to be selfish lol.

Definitely not as roomy as a Silverado double cab, those things have insane amounts of room everywhere. Then again its not a full size truck.

Don't trust measurements or what anyone says about how they fit fine. You need to get to the dealer and set the seat how you'd like it and put your friend in the back. See how you fit now before buying it. Measurements and other people's height don't tell the truth because some people lean back, others sit up, etc.

The Double Cab can carry 4 adults for a drive to dinner, but it can be a little tight after awhile. Sister in law made an off hand comment about my Taco, and she was informed that the "roomiest" seat was at the very back and had the most fresh air. You don't even have to wear a seatbelt back there.

Taken 4 adults down to Baja as well as around town... It isn't a Lincoln Continental, but it goes everywhere with four 6ft. adults, if needed. The front seat does not need to be slid all the way back to drive, so you can give the back seat folks a little more room than what is found on a school bus!

My first tacoma was an '11 AC. I too looked at the numbers and thought that the room was comparable and at the time my kids were young so I figured it would be fine. The longer bed seemed more important than the AC room. BIG MISTAKE. The AC cab seats sucked for the kids....they hated it and I actually ended up getting rid of the truck with that being a big reason. Not to mention getting in and out of the back using the short door wasn't that convenient.

my dad has a AC and i have a DC. My truck has much more room than his does. Also in a DC you have more storage room behind the seat too. as i type this i wonder if anyone has thought of taking out the rear storage and moving the seats back a little for more leg room.

You're not alone. I'm only 5'7 and my girlfriends only 5'2 so anyone who sits in back will have plenty of leg room...lol

I had the Xtra Cab in '01 (what they call an Access Cab now, but there were no mini doors to access the back seats). Once my kids were 15+ the little seats were not popular whatsoever. So, the '05 Double Cab was next. No more issues... and it did have extra space behind and under the seats. I got the '10 Double Cab next and lost the space behind the bigger rear seat because of the JBL sub woofer or whatever that is taking up all that nice space.
