Accessing double cab 3rd brake light?

    So went in to the dealership today to get the recall done on my 3rd brake light. When they went to do it, the 3rd brake light was a little loose. They said they would would only perform the recall after totally replacing the brake light (obviously at my cost). Obviously this is bullshit, so I want to just tighten it up before going to a different dealership. I tried following this https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ih-l2a2ou40 but after I got the clips out the headliner didn't want to drop at all so feel like I'm missing another attachment or something and don't want to screw up the headliner by forcing it. Any tips or info?
