    Hello everyone,

I wanted to get everyone’s feedback on accessory to add on to my 2020 Tacoma. I purchased my rig through Costco which gives me a %50 coupon towards a factory accessory ( up to $200 off). So right now my list is a tonneau cover, roof rack and trd skid plate. What is everyone’s recommendations? I am planning on getting mud guards. So my hobbies are fishing, mountain biking and hunting. I want to put this discount to good use. At firer I thought a roof rack would be good in order to mount my fly rod or skis.

    thank you everyone!

The tonneau should be your first. It allows you to lock your tailgate and bed up. Eventually adding a pop and lock kit will make it so convenient to store stuff in the bed securely. I’d look into a prinsu or similar rack like cali raised or front runner. Skid plate, bed mat, and one up bike rack and you’re set

Thank you medicfung! Would you recommend the vinyl tonneau cover made by toyota or a seperate brand? I did forget to mention i did purchase a bed mat as well already! I was debating on what toyota accessory to use with the coupon

I’d get the trifolding oem! I’d look on this site in the buy sell section for a oem tri folder someone doesn’t want from their stock truck. I got mine for my long bed from a dude that lived near me for $350! It was a week old, my truck was 4 months old to me at the time. He helped me swap the bed rails and install the hardware and I was off! I sold my predator steps to a guy on the way to get my cover, the cash I got from one paid for the other so it was as if I got a $1700 tonneau for $350.

Also, like someone already said above, weather proof floor mats are amazing. I also got carhartt seat covers. These things are money pits. It all depends on how far down the hole you want to go. I Mtb too, and this is my work truck and weekend shuttle bus, and family car over all. Such a handy truck

Unless you ordered the truck with the oem tonneau, I dont think you can add it as a package from the dealer. You can order the parts individually, but its around $1k. Id get the mat, front rail, bed lights, divider, bed step, mud flaps, and all weather mats. Possibly wheel locks too.

Blackout kit for the doors and v6, colored inserts for the Tacoma on the tailgate, I went with red on my silver one. If you carry a pistol or valuables around there is a handy safe that replaces the storage behind the rear seat but not an oem product. Also a exhaust tip, keeps condensation from keeping the rear panel wet

yeah, unfortunately I learned the hard way after ordering my truck that you have to order the tonneau cover along with it. So I might have to look around for a used one here or on Craigslist.

I guess I don’t understand how that helps with adding a exhaust tip. Maybe I don’t understand.

Look at your exhaust pipe on cool morning, mine usually has condensation on the body. The oem exhaust is a couple inches from extending out past the body. I don’t know it will cause any problems but seems like a good place for corrosion to start plus all the stuff in exhaust can’t be good for paint I wouldn’t think. No evidence to back that up just my guess

sounds like you have to get the accessories from toyota. you can try seat covers, everyone likes clazzios, but if you have a discount from the dealership you can try there.

black out lettering from the factory would be cool.

    bed lights

    all weather mats

go pro mount for windshield and/or bed rails

    emergency kit

idk get what you think youll want/need/use

If you are only looking for factory accessories I'd add the Toyota bed mat to the list: https://amzn.to/2T7DDf4

I see what you mean. Well I was considering getting the black chrome exhaust tip from Toyota so that works in the end :).

Don’t go OEM roof rack. I have a 2020 and the current roof rack does not fit our trucks as there was a change in antenna placement. Last I heard they’re still designing A 2020 roof rack.

So I forgot some details. I did order the truck with the led bed lights and I purchased a bed mat with it as well. The items I will purchase are the mud guards as well. Based on the comment that the current roof rack won’t fit the 2020 I am leaving towards the trd skid plate only because I can use the coupon from Costco dropping it from $400 to $200. What are people’s thoughts on the trd skid plate? I like that it has a access door for the oil filter.
