Yes that sucks .. lots of deer/vehicle collisions this time of year as the rut is going on and the deer run mad. Your truck can be fixed and at least you and/or your wife wasn't injured.

Insurance adjuster : "you don't really need to blend do you? How about i give you an extra .3 for color match?"

Those pics were before the blending I think. Not having the door line break point made it less obvious, but the color was still that far off.

Guy got ill with me and said some not so nice things. I left without any kind of altercation. Let dealer that recommended him handle the second pass and I didn't return. Nor will anyone I know ;)

Yes I took a beating. The 17 was 700 - 800 higher than the 16 sticker and it cost me a shade over 5k out the door to trade. 16 had 12k miles...

FWIW, I had the deer altercation at 350 miles. Took that long going back and forth.

I think that got all of the questions...

...^^^... From my past experiences ... Silver (especially with a little metallic in it) is very difficult to match.

I have silver now and am lucky -- no wrecks so far  (knock on wood) ... :)

5k dinged on the trade isn't that bad given you drove 12k miles and the car needs to be repainted before it's sold again

Is it just the front bumper that's damaged? At $1800 it would be cheaper to buy a nice aftermarket bumper.

    "BAM"bi strikes again...
We have lots of deer as well as bobcats and even bears wandering around on the roads near where I am, so I always try to be careful, but those suckers seem to come out of NOWHERE!
Glad you and yours are O.K....

I almost hit a deer in the middle of Springfield, MO. At least a 10 point, it was crazy to see it in the city.

Bumper, fender, fog light, headlight bracket snapped, lower valance, etc. lots of little plastic bits, and labor i guess? Plus he plans to match paint the bumper. Thank god for insurance. But yeah i contemplated a plate bumper but the lead times on some of them are like 1.5 months. I cant have my baby look like a junker for 1.5 months LOL...or can I...hmm
