Got in an accident, minor damage to front bumper (skid plate took the brunt of the damage). Really it looks like the clips just need to be replaced, the plastic lower bumper replaced, potentially some other shit? and the skid plate replaced. Any other damage that could be seen happening from this that I should have them looking out for.. pretty low speed (less then 10km/hr)

Should i be taking out my LED bar from behind the bumper before taking it into the shop, or just leave it? Would insurance flag it as a potential issue considered it's bolted to the crash-beam thing behind the bumper.

    Thoughts?

Did you drill any holes into the aluminum cross beam?

I can't see the LED bar being an issue unless they think it somehow contributed to the damage.

Probably wont say anything about it, only if that alum cross bar isn't bent. Play it safe and unbolt it

if you have to worry about something like this, u probably shouldn't have done it in the first place...also, if you are really worried, don't you think they'd wonder about the holes drilled in the crossbeam?

it was a question asked, nothing has been doney...i have comprehensive so not sure it would matter at the end of the day. Assuming that people with steel bumpers or bumper bars are still covered, don't see this adding any additional issue..

    Was it your fault?

If so, don't claim and get a new black valance peice and skid plate. Will cost minimal and then you don't have to worry about it.

PS I think you should move the lightbar forward so it cones out the valance. Would look cooler

What light bar do you haveand has it held up well?

I'm jealous of your Spruce Mica

...at its finest??? Hope you're kidding. Honestly, do you think drilling a couple small holes in the aluminum cross beam in the bumper had any effect to the skid plate bending? If you actually think so then wow I am sorry:rofl:

It's going through insurance..let's say the Taco took it like a champ compared to the other one, and she didn't have her driver's license so it had to go to the Cops.. I've got forgiveness so should come out ok provided i dont do anything dumb for 6 more years

I like it behind the valance, keeps it out of most peoples view so no one gets tempted to steal it, i don't get harrassed by cops when not having it covered, and it's held up like a champ. it's an avec light bar, got from this forum

I vote, take the insurance money and buy a US Offroad winch mount.

Because insurance companies are in the business to MAKE money. Any little reason they can find to not pay you out they will use.
Now...back to the original question being asked, do you really think drilling a couple small holes in the aluminum cross beam in the bumper had any effect to the skid plate bending?

Bummer. I just threw out one of those grey plastic lower bumper covers a couple weeks ago.

A little off-topic, but why is everyone driving around with their light bars on in the middle of the day?
