By saying you were hurt or in pain when you are not.

If the OP is hurt there is a legitimate claim.

With a truck this new if the frame is straight and there was no airbag deployment my guess is that it will be repaired.

The cab, bed and front end all need replaced. I am going to say it is a write off.

Yes. Some people assume this is because of how "cheap" cars are made today. In reality, you are much less likely to get seriously injured or killed because the energy is either absorbed or redirected around you. Cars that stayed rigid transferred this energy right to you.

    I agree

This looks like it might be the type of accident OP would want the truck totaled but if insurance can save even a few hundred versus replacement you'll have to send it to the body shop

    Does OP have Gap Coverage?

That frame is not straight. The box hitting the cab typically means goner.

I don't need gap, I paid half down in cash. But in guessing even when I bought it I got $7,000 off of MSRP so that would have covered for any depreciation I believe. Another good thing is if I talk to the body shop like last time they'll go through everything to get a complete list of I want

Yes, encouraging insurance fraud is always a good idea. <disgust>

That truck is 100% done. Extensive damage in the rear... the bed literally slammed into the cab, not to mention damage to the front as well. I can nearly guarantee you the frame is messed up somewhere too. Truck is gone.

    It's a secret
Bless your heart...only if you read that nowhere it says to lie of injuries...but it's cool, perhaps I didn't type in simpler terms, that would be my fault...

Currently sitting at the body shop, they are going to start ripping it apart tomorrow, been confirmed there is Frame damage throughout the frame. Also have to gather a lost of receipts for the headlights, grille, and bed cover since they all need replaced

How long have you had the truck? Sure does suck, but i agree with all the others, it's a total. About three months ago, a guy who works with my wife took delivery of a new 2020 Dodge Ram 1500 quad cab. he'd been searching for several months for a particular color with the package he wanted. He left the dealership parking lot, made it a MILE down the road and got rear ended at the second traffic light after leaving the dealer parking lot. The car that hit him was doing over 60 when it hit him (drunk driver), drove the rear bumper under the rear axle of the truck, the bed into the cab, and the whole shebang into the car in front of him, also totalling it.

I had the truck for 6months and 2 days, just about it hit 7,000 miles. But that would be terrible to spend that long to find the exact truck you want to get it ruined within a mile, I couldn't even imagine.

And for everyone wondering I'm looking into a 2021, cement gray with led headlights. Looking around 40k before any discounts

As someone familiar with insurance fraud investigations in my opinion the statement you made could be misconstrued as an encouragement to commit insurance fraud.

Choose your words more carefully when giving advice and/or more clearly identify sarcasm.
