    Ha! I actually do a fair amount of reading and research. I work full time 40 hours, sorry I don't have excess " idle time" like you do to write a snarky post. I'll have it be known, I never experienced " drive line bind" before. I owned a 2006 Nissan Xterra 4x4 Offroad with a 6 speed manual and never experienced that " grinding" I did yesterday. But I digress..

    Oh you would know if it you broke it.

    Check to see if it engages and disengages ok (stay straight and only need to roll forward/backward a few feet ). If it does you are absolutely fine.

    I did the same thing. I accidentally turned the 4 hi on. I thought I had adjusted the AC. Backed up, tried to take off, and it wouldn't go. .....
    That was awhile back, doesn't seem to have hurt the truck.
