I've seen these kind of options, just haven't pulled the trigger yet!

Good suggestions here. I'm too risk averse to try anything before the 36k bumper to bumper warranty is up, but after that I'm diving in!

Oh snap, please update if you are gonna try that!

The old 60 and 70 series Land Cruisers have boots that might work. I'll measure the one in my BJ73 to see if it is close.

    70 Series boot.

No rush... but are you done yet!? haha

That boot looks like it will play the part perfectly, I'm very curious.

I don't keep my BJ73 here at the house... otherwise it would be measured by now. I'll try to get up to the storage barn this week.

Well crap. Now do I go with the Burberry or red and black lumberjack plaid?

If I can find this for a MT - I'm all over the Buffalo Plaid. Instantly - no hesitation.

Alternative option: Take your boot and whatever new fabric to a seamstress or anyone handy with a sewing machine. Seam rip the original boot to use as a cutting template, cut and sew new fabric. Couple bucks later and Bob’s your uncle.

That's the new plan. My Taco is on a train betwixt San Diego and Chicago right now and with the looming strike - I'm a little ticked....

If you don't do this on your red truck, I'll be disappointed.

I'm already modded there. I went with the natural alternatives.

I would have to go with plain black flannel. Very goth!

Fancy, even the center console lid is deluxe now.

Yeah. The console lid is my least favorite. The foam was not stiff enough and the fit of the cover was less than ideal. A bit better than the original, but no where as good as it should have been.

It seems that they (redlinegoods.com) have improved the wire in the parking brake boot since I got mine. That was problematic also.
