@Trident904, just want to thank you for my kit. Went in just as advertised and all the tips along the way regarding installation and bleeding got me through the process without a hitch. I really appreciate the engineering that you saved me - worth every penny

Currently in the process of installing my kit. I would just like to add to the thread that the exhaust bracket bolts are a BITCH to break loose

can be done without removing the exhaust bracket. Just tight working space.

Finished installing and just went for a test drive. Clutch feels easier to predict, but the new feel is very different. It almost feels as if the pressure in the pedal changes with pressing.

How does your pedal feel now? I had to bend the line quite a bit but I made it work.

I think I got all the air out of the line. I just want to be sure the clutch is disengaging 100%

My pedal felt nice and tight. If there’s any mush to it, you need to keep bleeding.

I drove it today and I'd say it feels good for the most part. I have a hand pump vacuum bleeder but don't have access to it right now I might try that in the future

Modified the level of gas in the tank
Mine was same at first...figured was just tiny bit of air in it, after a few drives it sorted itself out. Give it some time/trips

    Don’t use a hand pump. Just don’t.

Do these trucks not respond well to one?

    Ask @Shellshock.

Manual bleed it so you don’t run into problems.

    I didn’t remove mine

definitely still air in the line

    bad idea. Ask @tonered

Bleed it and bleed it some more. Mine I thought I was done and did 2 more cycles and a bunch of air came out. Brake fluid is cheap, no reason to skimp on bleeding.

It really worked well. I completely drained the clutch reservoir during the install. Refilled using the reverse bleeder, first try, no fuss

I can't afford another vacuum bleeder so I'll have to try bleeding more tomorrow. I tried the method you sent me when I was bleeding the clutch this morning. Didn't get any air out after 2 hours of bleeding and a couple gravity bleeds. I bought a large bottle of Prestone DOT 3 today since I went through a whole small bottle the first time and I suppose I'll just use it up so it doesn't ruin sucking in air on the shelf. Any more tips? My tubing is 1/4" ID don't know if that's too big but it does fit over the bleeder and stretch a little but I wouldn't call it snug per-say. Think I should get some 1/8 tubing?

I went for a good drive today and there is definitely more feel no problems engaging gears and the engagement point feels about halfway on the pedal.

Thanks for all the feedback I appreciate it!

I assume you’ve checked to make sure you have no leaks?

I have a no luck with vacuum bleeders on clutches. I have heard from a few folks that were successful, but many more who weren't.

In the end, it is easy to do with a helper.
