Yikes. Thats not normal. I'd talk to the dealer for a warranty replacement. They'll probably just replace the whole projector unit.

They would be distinctly brighter and you would have a ballast connected to each bulb. Additionally there would either be a relay or a power up cycle on them. This is an aftermarket mod as the stock truck does not have HIDs

My HIDs are yellowish. You can choose what kelvin bulbs you want.

If you haven't screwed with your lights, get immediately to the dealer. Do NOT try to solve it yourself. You paid good money to have this stuff right!

Haven't touched it. It is DEFINITELY on the back of the magnifying lens. I'll stop by the dealer tomorrow - off for Veteran's Day and props to all the veterans!

Yeah, I see that now... new headlight the dealer shouldn't question on a new truck!

So went to dealer the 10th. They had a new headlight in stock and swapped it out in 1.5 hrs. as a walk in! Problem is my wife noticed the other headlight is starting to slightly fog on the inside. It is not fog, it is like electrical fumes!

I would make a guess that the cause is one of the following :

    A) One or more bulb sockets are not properly seated in the headlight housing, improper seal allows moisture/contaminants in that are subsequently burned from the heat of the buld that is typically lit most (low beam) abad seal could also be caused by a torn/rolled gasket .
    B) Faulty socket to bulb or other electriclal connection within the socket or housing generates mild arcing, thus smoke which causes film on the lens/reflector
    C) Bulb defect allowing vapor escape while energized. Creating a soot which then is atracted to and sticks to the lens.

I am by no mean a Toyota, lighting, electrical, or other related professional or expert. That said, possiblility "A "seems most likely to me. "C" would likely result in a bulb failure so I deem it the most unlikely. I would try to get an answer from the tech/machanic that does the swap. He may have seen this before or have seen a bad buld socket or something to explain the mystery.

    Good luck OP!!

I totally agree with you on A or B. If the bulb was faulty it would lose the inert gas and burn out in a minute. I'll monitor the passenger side to see if it gets worse, and the drivers side to see if it starts happening again. Thanx
