Toyota to recall over 100,000 U.S. vehicles over potential engine stall (msn.com)

Sounds like the ACIS Flaps are breaking off and sending debris into the intakes and this is now being investigated by the NHTSA.

This is the exact problem I have with a 2017 Tacoma with about 62K miles on it~

looks like this will be developing into something more. Keep your eyes out for a recall notice.

~might be for the newer vehicles though-Keep on top of this development for sure!

Your link has nothing to do with the ACIS.
It goes to the new main bearing failure issues in the 3.5 V35A engine???

You really need to pay attention. This has nothing to do with Tacoma. It’s for the tundra. And it has absolutely nothing to do with AICS.

Please read Items before you link them

Great for LX and tundra owners with the turbo V6. Not so much for 2GR-FE owners. It goes to show you though how bad it needs to be before they recall. The Tacoma has no where near the amount of failures as tundra engines. Lock it up.

"The recall includes some Toyota Tundra pickup trucks and Lexus LX600 SUVs equipped with the Japanese automaker's V35A six-cylinder engine."

    From the article:

The NHTSA added that a remedy was currently under development.

I can only imagine that a remedy is to just replace the short block, or even the long block.

This is for that new cursed Tundra engine which is also a 3.5. False alarm.
