    Police News Conference on currently and they're reporting Shooter was a local from Las Vegas but that's all They re saying at this moment

    Also reporting but speculation of over 20 fatal and close to 100 injured but waiting on accurate count from Hospitals over the next few hours

    Too many times people have said "thoughts and prays go out to insert city name", this has just become an automatic response because these type of events are not a rare occurrence around the world. Sad but true, I hope all the injured pull through and (if*) anyone that had advanced knowledge of the shooters plans are brought to justice for not speaking up.

    And by the way, not to start a debate, but because the news is already getting it wrong and we should all be aware of our laws.. automatic weapons can be legally owned in the US. They must be registered w/ ATF, fingerprints, Sheriff must sign off, substantial fees, regular renewals of registration, etc... one doesn't just 'pick up' a 'machine gun' at a gun show for a hundred bucks...

    Weapon definitely sounded belt fed. This guy probably set up in his room with cans of ammo all linked. Don't have to worry about reloads, the pauses in bursts were probably caused by dipshit not feeding the belt resulting in stoppages. A few buds of mine were there, one hit the deck and a woman nearby took a round to the head. He said that the shooter opened up with a 300 round cyclic burst, but it sounds a little exaggerated.
    Edit: Everyone that I've talked to all have said the same thing and after watching videos it definitely sounds right. Sounded just like a 240..
