Someone finally came out with a way to change the master cylinder out. Which is why the disk conversions always sucked.

Super late to the party, but I love the title of this thread . UPS love throwing heavy parts around like a rag doll. Don't ask me how I know.

Sucks to see the damaged axle housing. Hopefully, the turnaround time is quick.

Yup. 15/16" bore. And properly proportioned for calipers and not wheel cylinders.

One of us has to represent!

My UPS guy loves me. He drives a supercharged 2nd gen Tacoma built pretty legit. He stops by after work sometimes just to drink beer and talk truck. Currie initially told me it would be cheaper to ship the axle if a forklift or loading dock was available because it was going to go freight, so I had them ship it to Relentless. Well I guess their shipping method changed between the time of ordering and the time of shipping. The housing was well under the 150 lb limit UPS has. So I guess Eric's UPS driver hates him...and me.

Jeez Monte, did you eat a bowl of troll for breakfast or what?

Stock second gen is 0.812" (13/16"). FFS my Tundra which has HUGE fucking brakes only has a .937" bore MS. And believe it or not, braking technology has changed since 1995-2004. It's not purely about MS bore size. Brake pressure is an artifact of the force being applied divided by the MS bore area. And pedal feel and how much the driver has to initiate force is predominately an artifact of the brake booster. First gens boosters...sucked a fat donkey dick. Which is why even when I did the Tundra brake swap on my first gen, I removed those fuckers the very next week and sold it.

    the biggest of bowls

No. Just prying into the world of 2nd gens.

01-04s came with 13/16th masters as well and a single diaphragm booster. Earlier models came with a 15/16s but a dual diaphram booster. I've done some swapping to feel the difference myself, put a 1'' T100 with a dual booster. Sucked ass. I much preferred the smaller MC and single diaphragm. Locks up the wheels anyways very easily with tundra brakes where I couldn't with the larger one.

    I just find it interesting

    so fuck you :luvya:

You are not teaching me anything I didn't already know. And the T100 didn't exactly bolt right in with the 01-04 first gens. I've forgotten more about first gens than you know. So fuck you and the tacoma you rode in on. :cookiemonster:

EDIT: For everyone else that doesn't know...Monte and I actually talk shit to each other all the time. Snowflakes not allowed in here.

I won't lie. I do miss the penguin. I literally broke everything on that truck and then fixed everything that broke with "jberry and friends finesse." Before selling it I could literally beat the ever loving shit out of the penguin and it would just...take it.
Little Red Riding Hood hasn't caught up to that level yet.
