    too damn many
my 01 kbb'd for 10k with 190K on it and it was a 2wd 4door trd offroad lol the only problem i have with used toyotas is how their resale is so damn good, for a buyer it sucks and the best way to get a taco is through one of those once in a life time deals lol i sold mine to my uncle for 1k family discount lol

If you know what to look for, then its not an issue. You can usually tell how a truck has been treated if you look for the right signs. I've owned 5 vehicles, and none of them have had FEWER than 140,000 miles when I bought them, and they've all been fantastic.

Where are you located? I wouldn't want to get your hopes up, but I'm CONSIDERING selling mine. It's what you're describing above, w/ about 113k miles. What is "a lot of miles" in your book? I'm in Northern California, Sonoma county.

oops, just saw your not "a lot of miles" number.

Yea you can find one. i got my 01 for 14k...but mine is DC 4wd auto, auto windows all that......but the milage was under 100k....you wont be able to find one for under 100k in good condition for 11k....i mean if could happen but doubt it. tacos have long lifetimes.....so one over 100k is not really that bad. go for it.

    good luck!

I know what you're going through. just keep checking craigslist. I searched for about a year on craigslist until the right one appeared. bought it with 140,000 (lets be honest, not that much for 1st gen tacomas) 02 model 4x4 trd for 9,000. that is much under kbb and a WHOLE LOT under what they are going for. just keep looking.

but that said, I turned around and took my prerunner back to stock and sold it in 3 days for about 1,000 over what kbb says so....

i live in southern new mexico. when i look on craigslist, im looking in albuquerque, and they dont really have that big of a selection online. if im lucky, id be able to go up there, i gotta convince my dad to have us drive up there, and to do that i have to find a truck before hand and have the dealership hold it, or something. and sorry guys, we can only use a dealership, we have to sell my current vehicle.

    just found this:
    http://albuquerque.craigslist.org/ctd/2261898951.html
think i could have gotten anything off if i told em i didnt want camper (i cant get anything right now, gotta wait a while, i will probably (unfortunately) get something around graduation.

If you're going through a dealership there's honestly probably no chance of finding one under or even near kbb. Sorry man. Dealers know tacomas are hot and sell for high

looks like a good deal to me. go check it out, likely no rust in nm. If you don't like the cap, sell it to get some $ back.

That is what I was thinking. Pretty much throwing money down a rat hole. Not a good deal.
