I’m trying to determine if the 6 speed manual option on the TRD Offroad/Sport has fully functional adaptive cruise + lane centering for highway driving. I’ve seen the spec sheet that says all of the models have TSS 3.0 (which should include ACC and lane centering), however I haven’t been able to find any videos of manual test drives that explicitly shows the system in action. Does anyone know of any videos that show it, I might have missed one

They all come with it and all the test drive for the most part have been on roads where you don't want to use it. However I am just trying to envision on how you could do resume acceleration in a manual and get full use out of the system as well as downshifting to slow down.

Yeah, that’s been my question as well. My thought is that the 6th gear would be sufficient to stay in for the ACC to deal with regular highway slowdowns.

The ACC works fine in my '21 OR 6-MT. Obviously, you don't want to be in 6th when traffic is regularly slowing down to 45 mph. I don't have Lane Centering, but the Lane Departure Alert, aside from being annoying at times, also functions as intended.

I believe lane Centering will only work on vehicles with electrical Assisted steering (??? in 2024 hybrids).
Lane Departure Alert is annoying and I keep it turned off. It recognizes painted lines on the road and if you get too close, it beeps at you.

Lane Departure Alert and Lane Tracing Assist are two separate things. One beeps, the other keeps you in your lane if you're swerving.

Op was talking about the one that keeps drunk drivers centered in their lane. You're talking about the one that is annoying and beeps. Unless I misunderstood your post? I do that a lot :D:anonymous:

And adaptive cruise control so the drunks don't run into the car in front of them!

All 2024 Tacomas have electric power steering.
