What the heck is going on with my ACC?
Previously it would slow down when it detected a vehicle in front of me, and maintain the same speed as that vehicle.
    My battery died, completely.
Now with the new battery the ACC detects a vehicle in front and just shuts off. wtf?
When it cuts out the display returns to the "Radar Ready" screen.
Its not the radar sensor, because I can turn the ACC on in the first place.
is my new battery too weak to power the changeover from braking to accelerating?

I doubt it’s the battery. There must be a setting that changed. I’d look at that

Weak batteries cause a lot of issues on these trucks. Ideally you'd get it scanned for all modules and clear all codes. You need a scanner with Toyota licenses unfortunately and they are costly, so a shop would have to do a full health check.
